Hey, Hey, Hey! Summer is around the corner and QWO (pronounced Qw-Oh ) will be arriving at our office just in time to get your bum ready for the swimsuit you’ve been day-dreaming about. Unfortunately, the vacay that goes with that suit isn’t included. But let’s be real, if the cellulite on my cheeks is gone, I just might wear the suit around the house sans the vacay!

What is QWO?
QWO is a prescription medication used for the treatment of moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women.
How does QWO work?
Qwo works by dissolving the bands that tether the skin down causing the dimpled appearance of cellulite. Remember, cellulite isn’t a fat problem it is a skin problem!
Who cannot receive QWO?
Anyone allergic to any collagenase or to any of the ingredients in QWO or anyone who has an active infection in the treatment area(s).
When will you have QWO available for treatments?
QWO will be available on April 5, 2021. I encourage you to book your appointment today since the treatment cycle is 42 days long and you will bruise.
Before I receive QWO what should I let my provider know?
Tell your healthcare provider about all of your medical conditions, including if you:
- Have had an allergic reaction to a QWO injection in the past.
- Have a bleeding problem.
- Are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. It is not known if QWO will harm your baby.
- Take any medications, prescription or over-the-counter.
How is QWO administered?
QWO is injected into the fat of each single buttock (treatment area) by your healthcare provider. You may receive up to 12 injections sites per buttock (treatment area).
How many treatments will I need?
You will need 3 treatment visits space 3 weeks apart. Both buttocks may be treated at each visit.
What are the possible side effects of QWO?
Qwo may cause serious side effects, including but not limited to:
- Allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions, including anaphylaxis.
- Injection site bruising
- Pain
- areas of firmness
- Itching
- Redness
- Discoloration
- Swelling
- Warmth
What are the ingredients in QWO?
Active ingredient: collagenase clostridium histolyticum
Inactive ingredients: Mannitol, sucrose, tromethamine, and hydrochloric acid.
The diluent contains: calcium chloride dihydrate, sodium chloride, and water for injection, USP
